How long does it take to make a smoothie on a smoothie bike?
20 - 30 seconds. The smoothie is powered by the rider. If the rider pedals faster, the smoothie gets ready sooner.
How many drinks can you serve per hour?
The hourly capacity directly depends on the serving size, the number of bikes, the number of staff, and the number of flavors offered. At top capacity, we have served as many as 1800 smoothies per hour. With sufficient notice before your event, we can prepare to serve groups of any size. Please connect with us as soon as possible for large events.
Eg: We can serve 60 bike smoothies which are 12 ounces in size with one staff, one bike, and up to 5 flavors. Cut the size in half and now we can serve 120 smoothies/hour. Add another bike and staff member to serve up to 240 bike-smoothies/hour. And so on ...
How many smoothie bikes can you bring to the event?
We can bring as many smoothie bikes to your event as you need. If you need more than 2 bikes, we require a 2 weeks advance notice.
How far do you travel?
We are happy to travel to events anywhere in Washington State. We have a small travel fee for any events outside the cities of Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond.
Do you offer alcoholic drinks?
We do not have a liquor permit, so we're not allowed to serve alcohol. However, our clients are allowed to provide their own alcohol and mix in our blenders. The alcohol additions should be verified unopened/sealed at the beginning of the event. If you have questions about this, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a minimum charge for an event?
Yes indeed. Our minimum charge for an event is $865 plus tax. This includes 2 hours, 2 bikes, up to 5 flavors, and 50 guests.
Is there a non-profit discount?
At this time, we do not offer a non-profit discount. We are a small for-profit business in Washington state with significant business costs. Sometimes, we are able to help find corporate sponsors for non-profits. Please send us an email at email@example.com
Do you sell bike-smoothies directly to guests or charge the host?
At this time, we only cater to fully-sponsored private and public events. We will invoice you for a lump sum based on the estimated number of guests and hours of operation. However, you are welcome to sell tickets or charge your guests to offset the cost of our bike smoothies catering service.
What are the bike smoothies catering setup requirements?
We bring everything we will need to serve bike smoothies at your event. All we need from you is a 10-foot by 10-foot level floor/ground space in order to operate. Our entire setup can easily fit in an elevator. We will also need you to validate or cover parking costs for up to two vehicles.
Can you do outdoor events?
Yes indeed. We have 10' x 10' canopies to protect our setup from the famously unpredictable PNW weather. For events during the day, we do not need any electricity.
What is your brand ambassador service all about?
You can build a marketing partnership with us to represent your brand at activations. We offer the following services to brands who hire us to represent them at events:
- 100% white-listing of our service. We will represent your brand at the event as you would with no mention of Pedal Smoothies.
- Training our staff to answer guest questions on your behalf with a graceful re-direction of questions we do not know the answers to.
- Your branding on our entire setup including bikes, coolers, banners, signs, table-cloths, canopies, cups, staff t-shirts, etc.
- Serving custom smoothie flavors or our standard ones.
- Mobilising your guests with custom call-to-actions.
- Event reports on interaction counts, demographics, comments, feedback, etc.
